1. Controller

2. Data we collect

Player accounts: an email address and a public handle. The email is used to send your sign in link and nothing else unless you ask for it. It is stored privately, is never shown to other players, and is never sold or shared with sponsors. We do not ask players for a phone number, a date of birth, an address, or payment details.

Gameplay: the picks you make, when you made them, your scores, the jornadas you have played, and the private leagues you belong to. Handles, scores and standings are public inside the game.

Forms: when you submit a sponsor enquiry or a counter card request, we collect the name, business name, email address, phone number, address, and category you provide. Forms are processed by Formspree, which delivers the submission to our email.

QR codes: each counter card and each printed advertisement carries a unique QR code. When a code is scanned we record the scan event, the date, and the code it belongs to. We do not collect your name, phone number, or precise location from a scan.

Website: we use privacy conscious analytics to count page views and button taps, and we record standard server logs, including IP address and browser type, for security and reliability.

3. How we use it

To sign you in, to run the game and its leaderboards, to respond to your enquiry, to fulfil and support sponsorship orders, to report aggregate counts to the sponsor a code or league belongs to, and to operate and secure the website. We do not sell personal data.

How your pick'em data is used

When you play the El Tío Sabe pick'em you share an email address, your picks and, optionally, your area. That information is processed by HRM, the parent company of El Tío Sabe, to measure the audience of our printed sheet and to attribute in-store advertising. We do not sell your data to third parties. You can request deletion at any time by writing to tio@eltiosabe.com.

4. Sharing

We share data only with service providers who process it on our behalf (sign in, data storage, form delivery, email, analytics) and where required by law. Sponsors receive aggregate counts only, never email addresses and never personal data.

5. Retention

Account and gameplay data is kept while your account exists and for up to 12 months after you ask us to close it. Enquiry data is kept for up to 24 months after last contact. Order records are kept as long as required for tax and accounting purposes. Scan data is kept in aggregate form.

6. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing tio@eltiosabe.com with the word "delete" and the email address you used. Deleting your account removes your email and your handle; your past scores may remain in anonymous aggregate form. We respond within 30 days.

7. Children

The site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. Players between 13 and 17 need permission from a parent or guardian. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email us and we will delete it.
